Kellie Pickler Shows Off American Pride With Mind-Blowing ‘National Anthem’ Performance

Kellie Pickler has proven time and time again that she is an all-American girl.

In July 2015, Pickler was asked to sing the National Anthem prior to the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Brickyard 400. Of course she accepted, performing the song alongside guitarist Dave Baker

Her performance is incredible, which isn’t any surprise, since Pickler already proved herself to be an excellent live performer when she finished in sixth place on the fifth season of American Idol

During Pickler’s performance, people stand out on the track holding a giant American flag. Various people in the crowd proudly hold up and wave their own flags as well. The NASCAR drivers stand with their families, many of them placing their hand over their heart as they listen to Pickler sing.

Pickler, wearing a red t-shirt that says “gentlemen, start your engines,” delivers a sweet and sincere performance. When she hits and holds out the final long note, the crowd cheers for her, and continues cheering until she finishes singing.

At the conclusion of Pickler’s performance, the camera pans to show to A-10 “Warthogs” from the Indiana National Guard 122nd Fighter Wing flying over the track. What a cool way to conclude Pickler’s performance!
