Remember When Jimmy Kimmel Broke Children’s Hearts With An Epic Halloween Prank?

Trick or treat?

Well when it comes to Jimmy Kimmel, he’s more full of tricks than treats.

Each year as the ghouls and goblins come out, so does Jimmy’s annual Halloween video: “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy“.

The video features prankster parents telling their unsuspecting children that they ate all of their hard-earned Halloween candy, and their responses are priceless.

In 2011 when Jimmy premiered the first compilation of parents and upset children on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the video went viral immediately.

The children’s reactions ranged from, rage, to tears, to pure denial. A giggling Jimmy even admitted,

I asked parents to pretend they ate all their kids Halloween candy and videotape that…. A lot of people did, and I guess I didn’t expect so much crying. I kind of thought the kids would be just mad, almost every one of them cries.

Our favorite reaction came at the end when one mom told her two boys she ate the candy and the older of the two responded with, “She ate it. What the heck. I only had like one bite of candy, are you serious!” Then the little brother responded with one of the most viral sayings of 2011, “You sneaky mom!

Ok, it may be a little traumatizing, but it’s all in good fun.
