If there’s any song that is sure to strike emotion in the heart of the listener, Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” definitely makes the cut. An 8-year-old with surreal talent stuns with an emotional nod to the iconic tune back in 2012.

The legendary Cohen wrote “Hallelujah” back in 1984 at one of the lowest points in his life, the song going on to become a career-defining ballad.

Years later, singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley recreated the song and skyrocketed it into fame, inspiring over 300 known versions.

Dressed in a sparkly pink tank top, young Marleigh Miller blew the crowd of Boomtown away with her rendition of Cohen’s emotional song. Even though she might have a long journey ahead of her, we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before she’s a household name.

The young vocalist initially went viral following her jaw-dropping rendition of “How Great Thou Art” when she was only 7 years old. Now at age 13, Marleigh is pursuing her dreams more than ever.

You can watch her cover of “Hallelujah” below.
