Despite all of the struggles Mia Robertson has been through in life, her parents Missy and Jase say that she has always remained strong.

When Mia was born 12 years ago with a cleft lip and cleft palate, Missy and Jase knew their little girl would have a tough road ahead. Over the course of her life, Mia has had multiple surgeries to help her live with her condition.

But as Missy said in a recent interview with HNGN, her condition aside, Mia is just like any other child her age.

“There’s nothing wrong with her, her brain or her mentality about any of this,” Missy said. “She’s a completely normal child when it comes to that.

After school, Mia enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and also participates in competition cheerleading, something she is truly excelling at.

She is flipping everywhere and pushing herself every single day,” Missy said in an interview with The Christian Post. “People are amazed at the accomplishments that she’s made.”

As Mia prepares for her first gymnastics competition, Missy shared a video on Twitter to show how much she’s learned.

I think she’s ready. Praising God for good health,” Missy captioned the video in part.

During the course of the short clip, Mia pulls off a flawless cartwheel, followed by a series of flips that take her clear across the room.

Wow! Mia truly is an expert gymnast!

You can watch the incredible video Missy shared of Mia practicing her gymnastics below. We never cease to be amazed by this sweet girl’s strength and determination.

Best of luck in your competition Mia!
