Can we all agree that Carrie Underwood needs to release a Christmas album? For years she has been teasing us with mind-blowing holiday performances, but we haven’t seen any albums come out of them.
Underwood proved, yet again, why she was born to record a holiday album when she performed on the 2014 CMA Country Christmas special with Christian singer Michael W. Smith. Together they sang his hit “All Is Well”.
Smith is best known for his 1991 hit, “Place in this World” and recorded “All Is Well” for for his holiday album The Spirit Of Christmas. Smith accompanied Underwood on the piano and delivered masterful harmonies. Their voices go extremely well together!
Every year ABC airs the Country Music Association’s holiday special, featuring some of the biggest country stars as well as country artists who are on the rise and a few non-country acts.
This year, Voice champion Jordan Smith, Broadway darling Idina Menzel, and singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan rounded out the non-country singers lineup. They were joined by Chris Young, Brad Paisley, Kelsea Ballerini, Kelly Clarkson, Loretta Lynn and many more.
