With a beautiful wife and three wonderful daughters, Tim McGraw often has said that he’s outnumbered at home. During a recent radio program, he reveals how that’s become a struggle at Christmas.
When McGraw married fellow country star Faith Hill in 1996, they probably didn’t anticipate having three girls, but that’s precisely what happened. In a house full of girls, he admits that when it comes to buying gifts for his family, it’s definitely a struggle.
“I think I’m pretty thoughtful, for the most part. It’s tough, you know, havin’ daughters, because once they reach a certain age it’s all about clothes and that kinda thing, so I’m not very good at that. If I had boys it’d be footballs and baseballs gloves, and stuff like that, but daughters, it’s a little tougher.”
According to the Grammy award-winning country star, he knows exactly what a boy would want!
“Gosh, the best gift. As a child, I remember gettin’ a 12-gauge shotgun, as a kid – a used shotgun- but that was probably the thing that I remember the most.”
With four ladies in the house, Christmas shopping definitely might be a little tougher but we’re sure he’s an all-star!
Two of McGraw’s daughters have already started to take after mom ‘n dad. Gracie has started her own band and even performed with McGraw on stage at one of his concerts! The youngest, Audrey, is showing her vocal strength and even has held her own mini-concert on a stop during her dad’s tour!
McGraw’s most recent album, Damn Country Music, launched in early November 2015 and even includes a duet with Gracie called “Here Tonight”.
