Who is that guy?

Years before he was a Grammy-Award winning solo artist, Jason Aldean was the young man featured in the picture above. Oh, and he had a band named the Young Guns

This throwback track is a rare find, and so is this fresh-faced picture of Aldean. You almost can’t recognize him!

The Georgia native began his career in country music like most, trying to figure out who he was in his early twenties. That’s what your early twenties are for, right?

Well as history shows, he figured it out in a big way. Aldean has become one of the most successful entertainers in country music, selling out show after show in some of the biggest venues around the country. Looks like those early years paid off.

According to Wide Open Country, Aldean spoke about his first band with Georgia Music.

“We went around and we played a bunch of clubs for free the first time just to prove to them that we could, and that was kind of how it started,” Aldean said of his first band. “We just played as much as possible.”

That experience led to the success he has now. Although his image and sound has changed quite a bit, we can still hear hints of Aldean in the Young Guns song below, “Cowboy Lady”.
