Following the tragic loss of country singer, Craig Strickland, his wife Helen, has chosen to share one of the couple’s happiest moments.
Through her Instagram account, Helen shared a video that Craig had made for her right before their 2014 wedding. She said,
On the day of our wedding Craig had me watch a video he had made to tell me how much he loved me. I am so thankful for technology in this moment because I will always have this.
In the video below, Craig is full of smiles as he pours his heart out to the woman he loves. The happy and excited singer prepares for the couple’s wedding day by sharing a sweet message with his soon-to-be bride. A beaming Craig tells her just how much he loves her and how lucky he is.
He tells his bride,
There’ll be times when we’re sitting in our car and stuff, where you don’t know this but I’ll look over at you and I’ll be like ‘Man, this is the person that God has created for me’ and that’s really special to me. And I couldn’t be more lucky.

What a beautiful message.
In the post, Helen thanked a friend for helping create the touching video, she said, “I will cherish it for ever.” She then followed with a meaningful line from the Bible, “‘Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15,’” a passage that has helped her grieve during his difficult time.
She continued,
Thank you Lord for sharing #craigstrickland with me. You allowed me to borrow him on this earth, but he was always Yours. I will forever cherish our year of marriage. This was truly the type of man you were and will always be remembered as. I love you Craig Michael.
Craig’s body was found on January 4, seven days after he was first reported missing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Craig Strickland.
On behalf of the family, a GoFundMe campaign was set up to help with expenses as they continue to cope with the loss of Craig. All the money goes directly to an account managed by Helen. If you should feel it in your heart, please check out www.gofundme.com/prayersforcraig
