Luke Bryan Brings Peyton Manning On Stage For Surprise “Folsom Prison” Duet

Luke Bryan is known for his energetic and sometimes surprising performances. There is a reason he has won back to back Entertainer of the Year awards, and this show proves just that.

Peyton Manning may not have Bryan’s vocal pipes, but he sure is brave for joining him on stage. The then-Denver Broncos quarterback surprised Bryan’s fans at a Children’s Hospital Gala on April 27, 2013 when he began singing “Folsom Prison Blues” in front of thousands.

Sure he was used to throwing a football on national television, but singing next to Luke Bryan is no walk in the end zone. However, we are impressed by Manning’s vocal capabilities and loved the interaction between the football star and the entertainer on stage.

The crowd was shocked to hear Manning belt out the Johnny Cash lyrics, and Bryan actually couldn’t contain himself from laughing along. Even though the performance was a little hilarious, Luke admitted you won’t see him throwing a touchdown anytime soon and thanked the legend for joining him on stage.

Years later, Peyton and Luke reunited on stage to host the CMA Awards.

Peyton Manning is a known country music fan, popping up at so many different shows over the years. He even sang a little but at the 2017 CMA Awards.

Peyton joined Luke to co-host the CMA Awards in 2022 and 2023.
