Super Bowl 2016 is now over, but many are still reliving the best moments from the game, commercials, and halftime show. This year the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos faced off in Super Bowl 50, but at the start of the NFL season it could have been anyone’s game.
Back in September, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon celebrated the NFL season opener by playing a football-themed game with guest Andy Samberg. The goal of the game was for Fallon and Samberg to punt foam footballs through glass portraits of each other’s faces.
In the middle of the game, Fallon grabbed his leg in pain, saying he “pulled a hammy.” He decided to call for backup, and who else came to his rescue but Carrie Underwood?
Underwood made it look like she knew exactly what she was doing, taking a precise series of steps and even testing the air flow to make sure her kick was lined up perfectly. But when Underwood went in for the kick, she was disappointed when the ball didn’t even come close to hitting one of the glass portraits.
Determined to pull off a good kick, Underwood tried again, but got the same disappointing result. She tried throwing the football instead, but still couldn’t break any of the glass. You can watch the hilarious video of the game below.
It turns out that Underwood may not be Super Bowl material, but she is still an incredible singer and performer. She recently kicked off her much-anticipated Storyteller Tour, and fans can’t seem to get enough!
