9-Year-Old Cutie Earns Golden Buzzer For Perfecting A ‘Voice’ Coach’s Hit Song

America's Got Talent/YouTube

Angelica Hale walked on the stage with bedazzled sneakers, a pink dress and a bow in her hair. Looking like a typical nine-year-old, she expressed how nervous she was for this second round of auditions on 2017’s season of America’s Got Talent.

After revealing she would be singing “Girl On Fire” by Voice coach Alicia Keys, guest judge Chris Hardwick told Mel B. it was his favorite song. The second she began singing, Hardwick, a comedian, musician, TV host, and producer, couldn’t believe his ears – his jaw almost hit the ground!

She mastered every run with ease and proved she had incredible vocal control by singing this incredibly difficult song.

Keys released “Girl On Fire” in 2012 as the lead single from her album of the same name. She was inspired to write it after giving birth to her son, Egypt.

Many AGT fans that felt she should have received the golden buzzer during her first audition with Andra Day’s “Rise Up” are extremely happy with Hardwick’s decision to use his on young Angelica!

Watch her exceptional performance below, and let us know what you think of it in the comments!
