Wow! It really isn’t every day that you see talent like this.

American Idol’s farewell season continues to keep us captivated with the undeniable growth in contestants like, La’Porsha Renae.

You may remember her audition performance that completely blew the judges away. Not only did the powerhouse vocalist show off her skills, she also stole our hearts with the introduction of her beautiful daughter! See the audition below.

Real talent, right? Well once again the 22-year-old has made our jaws absolutley drop! You have to wonder if the producers saved the best for last during the first half of the Top 24 solo performances. Renae took the stage looking like a star, and you can bet she sounded like one. Utilizing every ounce of energy and working the stage like a seasoned professional, she sang the classic “Proud Mary”.

“Proud Mary” was originally written by the legendary, John Fogerty. The song was first recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1968 and released as a single on their second album, Bayou Country. “Proud Mary” peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #2, and instantly became a hit across genres. It wasn’t until 1970 that Ike & Tina Turner first covered the song, with a different arrangement than the original. Eventually, “Proud Mary” became one of Turner’s signature songs.

All we can say is that Renae’s rendition is unbelievable. Watch the incredible performance below!
