In May 2016, tons of Jimmy Buffett fans piled into the Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, Tennessee to escape with him to “Margaritaville.” But little did they know that Buffet had a huge surprise in store for them…Alan Jackson!

Jackson gave Buffett’s fans an experience they’re sure to never forget.

No one had any idea Jackson was there. So it’s no shock the audience lost it when they saw him standing in front of them on stage.

Alan & Jimmy Bring Back Their Hit Duet “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere”

Their excitement only grew as Jackson started singing the words to his hit duet with Buffett, “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.” Jackson and Buffett have rarely performed the song together live. So this was a real treat!

However, it remains as one of the biggest hits of both singers’ careers. It topped both of the Billboard country charts upon release. The song also crossed over to claim the 17th spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jackson sang lead most of the time during their live performance in 2016. Buffett was happy to stand back and jam along on his guitar.

But Jackson wasn’t ever singing alone. The entire crowd joined in with him, especially on the chorus, and they sang at the top of their lungs.
