Country music singer Alison Krauss has just treated us to a newly performed song that is guaranteed to evoke the most heartbreaking emotions from your most difficult breakup. Performing a cover of Brenda Lee’s original ballad “Losing You”, Krauss is nothing short of sensational vocals and angelic euphoria.

Her rendition is set to be released on February 17th in North America and March 3rd for the remainder of variously located fans, while the solo album will be titled Windy City. Krauss’ iconic vocals resonate deeply with listeners, as her tender, yet emotionally painful, words touch deep into our souls and bringing back the hurt of the past. Her exceptionally beautiful voice sings, “Love sang its song for me/ Then things went wrong for me/ Nights are too long for me/ Because I’m losing you.”

This crippling ballad was a notable success for the original singer, as it landed Lee a #2 ranking song on the adult contemporary charts upon its release in 1963. Other artists to have performed this song also include Dorris Day and and Bobby Russell.
