Bass-Playing Skynyrd Fan Satisfies With Pleasing Cover Of ‘Still Unbroken’

If you’re a fan of Lynyrd Skynyrd covers, you’re in luck, because there are no shortage of them out there. In fact, Skynyrd may be one of the most-frequently covered artists in history.  

Even those who don’t know Skynyrd’s catalog like the back of their hand know their classic songs such as “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama.” Aspiring musicians strive to learn the parts to these tunes. Once they do, they happily share their work with the world.

Hard core Skynyrd fans, or at least, hard core music enthusiasts, dig deeper into the band’s repertoire to find more unknown songs to cover. One of those songs is “Still Unbroken,” the 2009 single released off of the band’s album God & Guns. 

There aren’t many covers of “Still Unbroken” out there, so those brave enough to try their hands at the tune stand a greater chance of being noticed. But we feel like the Skynyrd fan featured in the video below would have been discovered even if he played one of their more popular songs!

Operating under the YouTube name Éverson de Araujo, this bass-playing Skynyrd fan decided to share his cover of “Still Unbroken” with the world. You don’t see too many Skynyrd bass covers out there either, so Araujo’s video is a pleasant change of pace.

It’s also entertaining to watch because Araujo is just that good! He drives through the song with gusto, and manages to deliver a satisfying performance as a result.
