Billy Ray Cyrus Delivers Soulful Performance Of ‘Amazing Grace’

Over a decade after his country music debut, Billy Ray Cyrus released his first country/gospel/Christian album.

The album, titled The Other Side, includes three singles, “Always Sixteen”, “Face of God” and the title track.

The album reached No. 5 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and No. 18 on the Top Country Albums chart.

It also included the timeless hymn “Amazing Grace”, which has been sung since the seventeenth century.

Cyrus’ album version of the gospel tune is very soulful and upbeat, but sometimes when he performs it, he sings the song slower and unplugged.

The studio recording features a bluesy piano solo, awesome guitar riffs, and passionate vocals. Although his version of “Amazing Grace” wasn’t released as a single, it is definitely a standout of the album!

Some fans have even said that they love his version as much as the more traditional versions!
