Following the announcement that Blake Shelton was named the 2017 “Sexiest Man Alive,” people were quick to voice their opinion on the matter. Reveling in his win, the man of the hour investigated via social media how his “supportive people” were reacting to the honor PEOPLE had bestowed upon him.
While waiting backstage at The Ellen Show, Shelton took a moment to read of few “supporting words” from his fans on Twitter, the “Sexiest Man Alive” sharing his favorite mean tweets regarding his new title.
“Woke up to find out that Blake Shelton is the sexiest man alive, did a bunch of celebrities die or something last night?”

From his latest album, Texoma Shore, topping Billboard‘s country albums chart at number one and earning the coveted crown of “Sexiest Man Alive,” 2017 is shaping up to be the year of Blake Shelton, and the country singer is loving everything about it.
“When [people] would say to Adam [Levine], ‘Mr. Sexy,’ you’d always see him go, ‘Well, awwww…’ If you say that to me, it’s going to be, ‘You’re damn right, I’m Mr. Sexy! I’ve been ugly my whole life, if I can be sexy for a year, I’m taking it. I’m taking it,” shared Shelton with PEOPLE.
