While it’s rather easy to find ourselves caught up in anguish over the things we lack and have yet to be given, we unfortunately continue to overlook the blessings we posses that others covet.

Garrett Miles, an incredibly talented musican, was born with an unfortunate case of Optic Nerve Hypoplasia, essentially causing the young man to be blind. However, despite what many would consider a handicap, Miles has refrained from succumbing to his difficulties and, amidst overcoming his challenges, has pressed on to share his angelic, vocal gift.

The sensational singer took to his Youtube account to share a remarkable performance in which the inspiring young man performed a medley of country music legend George Jones‘ most iconic hits. Taking to a dimly lit stage with his handy guitar and and black fedora, Miles played a variety of classics ranging from the riveting “White Lightening” to “Why Baby”! Not only is this entertainer unbelievably talented, but his infectious personality is powerful enough to perk up even the saddest of folks!

Miles was a previous contestant in the hit competition show American Idol’s 14th season. Despite a rigorous battle and dazzling performances, the Alabama native was eliminated during a group collaboration round in which their performance of The Band Perry’s song “Done” wasn’t quite enough to secure a future spot.
