Brantley Gilbert used to call Amber Cochran “the one that got away,” but now he calls her his wife. Along with being his muse for songwriting, she has also become his co-star in his music videos.
For his single “The Weekend,” which is off his January 2017 album Devil Don’t Sleep, Brantley filmed a music video, but knew it wouldn’t be complete without his beautiful bride.

At the beginning of the video, we find Brantley working on his classic car, a white Mercury Cougar, which he loves dearly. He seems very frustrated about not being able to figure out how to fix it, which causes him to almost be late leaving on his tour bus for a show.

While he’s on stage, he receives a call from Amber telling him that she sold his beloved Cougar.
“Please don’t be mad,” she says into Brantley’s voicemail. “I sold the Cougar…But I really think you’re going to thank me for this.”
Following his gig, he listens to the message and becomes so enraged that he tells his band that he “needs to blow of some steam” and asks if they’re interested in finding a party.
Brantley and his band find an upscale party where they trade a performance for drinks. While hanging out in the driveway, a pristine white Mercury Cougar pulls up and catches Brantley’s eye.
Turns out Amber was playing a joke on Brantley, who totally fell for it, and instead of selling it, she just had it fixed up.
