Country music star Brantley Gilbert hit up a tattoo shop for a sentimental addition to his body art that had fans showing their utmost respect for the singer. Taking to social media, Gilbert shared a photo of the work in progress as he lied back and enjoyed the show.

Sprawled across his stomach while creeping up to his chest, the singer’s choice of a remarkable cross was bared proudly on the front of his body. It seems this specific choice held a powerful meaning behind the bold piece, as he wrote alongside his upload,Praise the Lord who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle. Psalm 144:1.”

With a bit of subtle flames and detailed accents, the cross seemed to leap off of the singer’s chest and capture the attention of fans. “Thanks to my boy Carl, Grace, and Lacey for coming out and hooking me up,” Gilbert paid his respects.

The country star has always taken pride in his ink, taking to Facebook in 2015 to reveal his artwork of two 1911 custom pistols on his upper back with the 2nd amendment just below the life-size images. “So BG nation…. I wanted to take my support of the 2nd amendment to another level,” he joked.
