While Carrie Underwood has never been shy about expressing her feelings for husband Mike Fisher, the country singer may have just one-upped herself with a heartfelt note written in dedication to him.
While Underwood may dominate the charts of country music, Fisher is star in his own right, acting as captain to the Nashville Predators currently competing in the final rounds of the Stanley Cup. In celebration of her hockey player husband being able compete alongside his fellow teammates in Game 3 of the finals, Underwood wrote a heartfelt post to cheer him on.
“I love this man more than words can express,” wrote Underwood in an Instagram post dedicated to Fisher. “I am beyond proud of him…he is an amazing man of God. He loves his family, his friends and his job. He deserves nothing but [the] best in this world, because he gives nothing but his best to it! I am amazed every single day at the kind of human he is! I love you, baby!”
The Predators defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 in Game 3 of the finals, a much needed win to keep “Smashville” in the running for the Cup following the Penguins two-game lead. The teams will play again tonight (June 5) on the Predators’ turf at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
