Carrie Underwood Gets Her Vengeance On In Badass New Single, ‘Dirty Laundry’

Country superstar Carrie Underwood is going back to her revenge laden roots in her newest single “Dirty Laundry.”

Underwood has famously done revenge since her 2006 hit “Before He Cheats” but none of her tales of retribution have quite come close to her taking a “Louisville slugger to both headlights” or slashing “a hole in all four tires.” No one dies in this song, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get her revenge.

The song is about a once subservient wife snapping once she finds a lipstick stain in a shade that isn’t hers on the collar of her husband’s shirt as well as wine stains that cover his clothes in a color neither of them drink. Hell hath no fury like a Carrie scorned.

“Now I’ma have to hang you out to dry…Clothespin all your secrets to the line,” sings Underwood. “All the Ajax in the world ain’t gonna clean your dirty laundry.”

“Dirty Laundry” is the fourth single from her fifth studio album Storyteller that was released in October of last year. Unlike many other songs about unfaithful husbands, this one has a high-energy beat that will have you singing along passionately even if you’ve never been cheated on.
