Carrie Underwood's fans know she is one of the biggest animal lovers in country music. Her love for animals is part of what prompted her to establish the Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation in her hometown.
Overall, the C.A.T.S. Foundation "helps to improve Checotah, Oklahoma by assisting with causes, fulfilling needs, and providing services to the community and surrounding area." Funds obtained by the foundation have gone to a variety of different efforts, including the construction of a new animal shelter in the town.
The mascot for the C.A.T.S. Foundation is designed to resemble Underwood's dog Ace, a rat terrier. Ace has been with Underwood for years, and has appeared with her in a handful of photoshoots. He was later joined by his sister, Penny Jean, a dachshund mix.
Both Ace and Penny Jean make frequent appearances in photos on Underwood's social media accounts. But Underwood shares a snapshot with a new furry friend from time to time, and she did just that on Wednesday (August 2).
While enjoying the sunny summer day, Underwood came across a friendly goat who seemed enthusiastic to take a picture with her. Underwood stopped close to the fence to take a selfie with the curious creature, and what happened next likely made her laugh once she saw the photo.
As if the goat actually knew what was going on, it propped its front legs on the fence and stuck its tongue out, looking straight at the camera. Talk about a picture-perfect moment!
We're sure that gave y'all a good giggle! Sometimes all it takes is a simple photo like that to brighten up your day.
Underwood has every reason in the world to be smiling. Her duet with Keith Urban on "The Fighter" is one of the hottest songs in country music right now, and isn't cooling down any time soon. Check out its energetic music video below!
