Carrie Underwood Spills The Beans On Her Family’s Fun Summer Plans

When you’re as famous as Carrie Underwood, you don’t get the chance to enjoy much downtime. Underwood has kept busy over the course of the past few months with her Storyteller tour, so you can bet she savors every chance she gets to relax with her family. 

After touring extensively for months, Underwood finally has a break in her schedule. Her next show isn’t until July 22, giving her plenty of time to spend with her family. She even got the chance to take a vacation with her husband, Mike Fisher, something she told Extra they haven’t done in “a couple years.“

Underwood shared a photo from her vacation on Instagram which showcased her morning cup of coffee. “Why does vacation coffee always taste so much better?” she wrote. Maybe it tastes better to Underwood because she finally gets the chance to relax! 

While Underwood and Fisher have vacationed together before, this is the first summer they plan to go on vacation with their son, Isaiah. Underwood wants to make sure he enjoys some fun in the sun as well, just like any other child would.

“I’m always looking up baby-friendly things to do in wherever we are…he loves being outside,” she said. “I want him to have childhood normalcy…We take him down to the pools, and the hotels and let him splash around because a kid would do that.“

When it comes to their summer plans, Underwood shares they are “easy to please,” and will enjoy some time lounging at a beach or a lake. But she hopes to take little Isaiah along on a more adventurous form of vacationing this summer as well. 

“I have some future plans for an RV [trip] for sure,” she said. “We will be taking some summer drives.“
