Chilling Audio From Final NASCAR Crash Moments Will Haunt You

Flying down the raceway at more than 200 mph, three cars exploded into a fiery heap that had many questioning how badly injured the drivers might be.

Luckily, during this past weekend’s NASCAR Go Bowling 400 at Kansas Speedway, not one driver sustained major injuries, but one of the drivers was hospitalized with a fractured vertebrae.

Pulling the audio from the driver’s and their teams, FOX Sports NASCAR put together a compilation of the remarks and dubbed it over video of the crash happening – lining up the segments so they played out almost exactly as it happened.

In this chilling recording you can hear the other drivers’ shock and fear of the worst as they pass the flaming heaps of metal that were once the cars of Danica Patrick, Joey Logano, and Aric Almirola.

Nearly everyone was worried that their friends and colleagues were hurt badly and Patrick’s car looked much worse than the others.

One driver, Trevor Bayne, revealed he’d never seen a wreck so brutal, “Gosh, I hope they’re OK, man. That was the hardest hit I’ve ever seen in my life.”

Logano was concerned for Patrick’s safety after his car was the cause of the accident, but the really chilling audio clip came from Aric Almirola.

Nearly immediately after the brutally-fast impact into Patrick and Logano, Almirola started complaining about his back pain and just hearing the tone in his voice – you can tell something was seriously wrong.

Our prayers are with Aric Almirola as he works toward recovery from this horrifying wreck.
