Chris Stapleton Shares Photo That Makes Fans Go Wild

Mel Melcon/Los Angeles Times

Chris Stapleton is one of the most recognizable figures in country music right now. With his long hair, beard, and signature hat, there’s no mistaking him for anyone else.

Well, at least there’s no mistaking him for anyone else in country music. Stapleton has admitted before that he gets confused for the Duck Dynasty guys all the time. Makes sense, because the Robertsons all have long hair and beards too!

For a while, when it was a really hot thing, people would be like, ‘Hey, are you one of those ‘Duck Dynasty’ guys?‘” Stapleton said. “I think I’ve signed a few autographs on their behalf.

Stapleton’s beard is so long that some people have wondered if he wears beard extensions. Well, a photo surfaced on Thursday (May 11) that proves that he does. But only for special occasions!

On Monday (May 8), Stapleton appeared as the special guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Joined by Fallon and actor Kevin Bacon, Stapleton rocked out to a humorous rewrite of ZZ Top‘s “Legs.”

Since the guys in ZZ Top are also known for their long beards, Stapleton had to go all-out for his Tonight Show appearance. He actually had to add extensions to his beard for the performance, and someone captured the process in a photo that Stapleton later shared on social media.

The photo shows Stapleton staring at the camera, while three stylists surround him and try to work the extensions into his beard. Fans went wild when they saw this photo, because they found it funny that Stapleton needed extensions to make his beard longer than it already is!

See Stapleton and his beard extensions in action when you watch him perform the rewritten version of ZZ Top’s “Legs” below. It’s sure to give you a good laugh!
