Written with fellow singer-songwriter and former frontman for Semisonic Dan Wilson, Chris Stapleton penned an insane never before heard banger titled “The Right Ones.” While the reasoning behind the song’s status of unreleased is unclear, Stapleton’s explosive performance of the song leaves fans thirsting for a single.

On a trip to New Orleans where the two artists were set write a song for a local jazz band, Stapleton and Wilson found time to crank out the rocking country song. “I don’t know anything about jazz but we had a good time,” recalled Stapleton of the writing trip.

“I had this kind of idea that I was knockin’ around,” says Stapleton. “And this is it,” he continues before rolling into the song.

The fact he has a song of this quality just lying around and the manner in which he can rock an unreleased song acoustically at the drop of a hat is pure Stapleton. You can listen to “The Right Ones” in the video below and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!
