Two country music legends played the hysterical “blame game” when their tune “You’re The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly” pointed the finger over who gave their hypothetical children their bad looks. Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn were a stellar team with a side of comedy as they sang their sassy duet, sending fans to laughter over their fiery remarks coinciding with the sacrifices they’ve accepted and are willing to make in the name of love.

“You’re the reason I’m ridin’ ’round on recapped tires/ An’ you’re the reason I’m hangin’ our clothes outside on wires/ An’ you’re the reason our kids are ugly, little darling/ Ah, but looks ain’t everything/ And money ain’t everything/ But, I love you just the same,” they hysterically bantered.

While these two legends were not the first to record this fiery song, it was their 1978 rendition on Lynn’s album Honky Tonk Heroes that landed that tune in the hearts of fans.

Conway and Lynn collaborated on a plethora of duets together during their careers, becoming a prime duet staple with their lively hit “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man”. Although signed to varying labels, the two released a whopping 11 studio albums together from 1971 to 1988.
