Country music duo Dan + Shay won over the hearts of fans with their more than romantic ballads such as “19 You & Me” and “From The Ground Up”. Delving into their career and incredible new fanbase, Dan Smyers and James Shay Mooney have produced nothing short of unbelievable music filled with pure emotion and exceptional, raw talent.

The men have since released a music video for one of their newer compilations as they head on face one of the most difficult and potentially defeating challenges of life; addiction. Titled “How Not To”, the inspiring song powerfully addresses a challenging wave of heartbreaking emotions and distress, as the singers use their exploding words to support a twisted story of a young man and woman relentlessly fighting their alcohol addiction.

Kicking off the video in an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, we are introduced to our two main characters, both attempting to better their lives but continuously becoming consumed by their guilty pleasure and unintended betrayal of their loved ones. As the video transpires into a devastating montage of relapses from our two hopefuls that live entirely separate lives, we are unexpectedly bombarded with an entirely new scene of love and positivity as we learn  the once strangers found strength in each other to overcome their demons.

Now one year sober and head over heels for their newfound love for one another, this once heartbreaking ballad of weakness and pain passionately transitioned into an inspiring message of love and undying strength. We strongly applaud these two performers for bringing forth such a powerful and uplifting message.
