One country star’s newest music video had everyone sobbing as it packed a powerful message to the singer’s son about growing up but remaining a young boy at heart.

Lee Brice‘s emotional song “Boy” shares a feeling that many parents know all too well. In the song, he says to his son that he’ll encounter troubling times, but “a part of you will always be my boy.”

The video stars Brice’s two sons, Ryker and Takoda, along with his beautiful wife, Sara, who was pregnant with the couple’s first daughter! As he pours his heart out into the moving song about a boy’s coming of age, his sons start roughhousing with one another in an open field – a typical past time of any young boy.

“You’re gonna drive and kiss and throw a punch and grow up way too fast,” Brice sings in the chorus of “Boy.” “You’re gonna drop the ball, hit the wall and break some hearts like glass / I know you will / ‘Cause you’re part of me / And part of you / Will always be / My boy,” he sings.

Brice’s ballad had viewers rolling in tears as they were reminded of their own youth with the inspiring message.
