Elvis Presley Kisses All The Ladies In Scandalous ‘Love Me Tender’ Performance

Facebook/Universo Musical

When Elvis Presley takes the stage, you know you’re about to watch an incredible show. During this special performance in 1970, some fans got more than just a show.

Presley began his performance holding a teeny, tiny guitar as his band played the opening chords to his 1956 song “Love Me Tender” from the film of the same name.

The second he sang the opening lyrics to the song, the crowd went wild! While we know this is an incredible song, we now know the real reason why all the ladies went crazy.

As he sings the iconic song, Elvis walks around the stage, bends down and kisses his female fans. While he kisses just about every woman in the front row, he does see the occasional male. In the middle of kisses, he said, “How you doin’, sir?” which got a pretty good laugh.

One male concert-goer went for a handshake and Presley leaned down to kiss him, but then laughed it off.

The ladies in the back were probably so jealous! Heck, we’re jealous and it was 46 years ago. A performance like this in this day and age would be considered scandalous and since this took place almost 50 years ago, we can’t even imagine what people thought of it!

Clearly, everyone he kissed was willing, but he did kiss a whole lot of women.  Did we mention that this is probably one of the most high quality Elvis Presley performances we’ve ever seen?! Watch it below.
