Remember Australia natives Emily Joy and Luke Gallagher who set the internet on fire with their blazing cover of ‘Jolene?’ The internet sensations followed that up with a heavenly cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

The pair record the video on a literal country road in the their home of Perth, Australia with Luke on acoustic guitar and Emily on lead vocals. The pair’s cover of Denver’s iconic country song is both beautiful in sound and romantically visual.

“We found ourselves on a country road in Western Australia and decided to sing it,” writes Emily on her Youtube page.

The musical couple have been romantically involved for two years and enjoy spending their days making music and memories together. Emily premiered her debut single “Barricade” in July of this year which hit No.2 on on the Austrialian Country iTunes chart sandwiched between Keith Urban’s “The Fighter” at No.1 and Florida Geogria Line’s “H.O.L.Y.” at No.3.

Emily Joy writes on her Facebook page that she wishes to channel “the storytelling of the greats Dolly Parton and John Denver as well as the vocal hooks of contemporaries Taylor Swift” and describes her music as a combination of both with a “modern twist.”
