Emotionally-Charged Music Video Sheds Light On The ‘Soldier’s Wife’ Who’s Left Behind

Facebook/Fox&Friends

In the wake of the memorial honoring the tragedies that occurred on September 11 back in 2001, country music duo American Young released an emotionally-charged video for their heartbreaking love ballad “Soldiers Wife.”

The video was released on Fox & Friends with a caption, “‘Soldier’s Wife’ goes out to all those friends and family in the Armed Forces, police officers, firefighters, EMTs and to heroes who stay behind.”

The song cuts deep with the heartbreaking lines of “I don’t want to think about hearing your voice on the phone” or “you flying off to God knows where, telling me not to be scared.” The song tells the rarely told story of the sacrifice the wives of the men on the front line make each and every day for a husband they don’t know will ever make it home.

American Young is an up and coming country music duo comprised of Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone. Jon Stone has found high success as a songwriter in Nashville composing major hits such as Blake Shelton’s “Kiss My Country Ass” and Kenny Chesney’s “Seven Days.”
