Everyday Guy Shreds ‘Don’t Ask Me No Questions,’ And All We Can Say Is…Wow

It’s no surprise why Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s sophomore album Second Helping is considered to be one of their greatest collections. The record serves as the home to some of the band’s most iconic songs, including “Sweet Home Alabama,” “The Ballad of Curtis Loew,” and “Don’t Ask Me No Questions.”

The latter was written by guitarist Gary Rossington and lead singer Ronnie Van Zant. Featured as the third track on the album, fans quickly fell for the feisty tune. The song’s popularity led to the release of its single version, which was included on the 1997 reissue of Second Helping.

As popular as “Don’t Ask Me No Questions” may be with Skynyrd’s most loyal fans, it isn’t that well-known by outsiders. Because of that, it’s hard to come by videos of fans covering the song in any form or fashion.

But one everyday guy changed all that with his rhythm guitar cover of “Don’t Ask Me No Questions,” which he shared in January 2017. Named Shawn Perry, this talented guitarist has just gotten his start uploading guitar covers to his YouTube channel.

Perry is sure to take off once y’all see the video of him playing guitar below. Seated in front of bunch of palm trees in a bright tropical scene, Perry grabbed his guitar and absolutely shredded everything out of “Don’t Ask Me No Questions.”

Talent like this is something worth being recognized and appreciated! So show Perry some love by tuning in to his cover of “Don’t Ask Me No Questions” below.

If you like this video from Perry, you can help him out by viewing some of his other covers here. We think the Skynyrd guys would be impressed with his cover, don’t you?
