Faith Hill Sings “Mississippi Girl” Duet With Young Fan

In one brief, amazing moment, this country music star made a little fan’s day when she asked her to come backstage for a moment they both will never forget!

This adorable little fan, named Rosie, had sang her little heart out in a video she sent to country star Faith Hill before attending one of the first concerts in her 2017 Soul 2 Soul tour with husband Tim McGraw.

Welcoming the young girl backstage along with her family, both Rosie and Hill were overcome with excitement and joy to finally meet, but that’s not where it stopped!

Getting down on a knee and taking little Rosie’s hands in hers, Hill was more than thrilled to sing along to her 2005 hit song, “Mississippi Girl.”

Together, Hill and Rosie belted out the chorus of the song, bringing everyone in the room silent as they held hands and sang together in one of the most precious moments you’ll see all day!

Hill, who uploaded the clip to social media recently, wrote about the experience in the caption of the post, saying, “Was so sweet to meet [and] sing with Rosie, a fellow Mississippi Girl.”

Faith Hill released “Mississippi Girl” in May 2005.

“Mississippi Girl” was written by John Rich and Adam Shoenfeld and released as the lead single off her album Fireflies. Like she sings in the song, Hill was raised in Star, Mississippi, where she began singing at Star Baptist Church when she was just three years old.

The song hit number one on the Hot Country Songs chart on September 2, 2005 and was the first time in five years she topped the chart.

Hill earned a Grammy nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and although she didn’t take home the trophy, the song did win the SESAC Country Song of the Year for Rich and Shoenfeld.
