While decades may have come and gone since they first fell in love, their adoration for one another hasn’t faded in the slightest. Three daughters and a multitude of platinum-certified duets later, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill still manage to encapsulate the epitome of “relationship goals.” 

Back in 1996 at the early stages of their relationship, Hill accompanied McGraw as the opening act on his Spontaneous Combustion Tour. During the tour, McGraw was introduced to a passionate duet titled “It’s Your Love,” the country singer knowing immediately who he wanted to record it with.  

“We were dating at the time, and we were in the middle of a tour together,” McGraw said in an interview with American Songwriter. “I remember I had a place out in Leiper’s Fork [a rural community outside of Nashville], and the bus was sitting there. [Producer Bryon Gallimore’s wife Missy] showed up with that song, and we went to the back of the bus to listen. I instantly knew I was going to cut it. I played it for Faith and told her I wanted her to sing on it. We both really felt like we had something.”

“It’s Your Love” went on to become the most successful song of both their careers, remaining at the top spot of the charts for six weeks in addition to winning them an ACM Award as well as a CMA Award for “Vocal Event of the Year.”
