Fans Horrified After Keith Urban Got Asked This Question On Red Carpet

The internet exploded after watching one of the most controversial interviews of 2017 unfold in front of their eyes.

Paired with his dazzling wife, Nicole Kidman, country superstar Keith Urban walked the red carpet this weekend during the annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills.

During their glamorous walk down the red carpet, and dressed to the nines, this beloved celebrity couple were talking to various reporters about Kidman’s new film, Lion, and Urban’s recent world tour when all of a sudden, one question came off entirely the wrong way to thousands of viewers.

The interview, conducted by NBC’s Jenna Bush Hager, was a bit bumpy but otherwise just fine. Hager then asked a question that set tons of people off.

“So you look beautiful,” Hager says doting on Kidman and her sparkling gown. “Keith, do you get the final approval of these dresses?”

Urban’s response was top-notch, “I get the first look which is just as good!”

While, he handled the interview as an incredible gentleman, social media site Twitter was rife with comments slamming Hager for even daring to ask a question like that.  See below for just a small number of comments from people angered by her question.

The situation was only one of two that viewers were ripping on Jenna Bush Hager for her interviewing skills with the other being a mix up of two movies’ names – which she later issued a teary-eyed apology for. In Hager’s defense, this was her very first time interviewing stars on the red carpet.
