One smart father is teaching his 3-year-old son the ways of quality music in a video that is sure to melt your heart! Both manning their own guitars, although the little tike seems to be drowning with his, the two musicians partake in an adorable duet of George Strait‘s classic “Amarillo By Morning”.

The 1973 major hit was originally performed by Terry Stafford, most recognized for his strikingly similar vocals to that of Elvis Presley. Strait covered the song when he took it aboard his 1982 album, Strait From The Heart, and sent the hit to #4 on the Billboard Country chart.

As soon as dad begins the vocals, the little boy chimes in and projects his voice to match his father’s! Together, they strum their guitars and delve into the song’s country lyrics!

Although this selection can be a bit of a challenge for any musician, this 3-year-old has no problem keeping up, even giving his dad a run for his money time and time again!

Watch the adorable performance below!
