Heavy metal gone bluegrass? You’ve definitely never heard Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” like this before!

A bluegrass band from Finland transformed Metallica’s 1992 hit into a song that sounds straight out of the south. Performing the song out in the European wilderness, the “redneck” geniuses behind Steve ‘n’ Seagulls deliver a banjo-filled slowed down rendition of the “Nothing Else Matters” that you never knew you wanted so badly.

Steve ‘n’ Seagulls are a bluegrass band from Finland who are known for covering heavy metal hits of the past. Since the creation of their YouTube page back in 2009 they’ve accrued over 380,000 subscribers and an accumulated 72.1 million views on their videos.

“Nothing Else Matters” was a global sensation, dipping into the charts in over 10 countries including Australia, Belgium, France, Sweden, and Finland. While Steve ‘n’ Seagulls version is quite possibly the most unique, the rock song has been covered an upwards of 100 times.

You can watch their rendition of “Nothing Else Matters” below.
