Country music icon Garth Brooks joined in an interview that took a wild turn, prompting the singer to compare concerts and the art of performing one passionate act.

Delving into the performing process, Brooks told The Boot, “Six weeks before the show, we’re going to announce. Five weeks before the show, we’re going to put the tickets on sale, and hopefully it’s just going to boil. And then our job is to burn that thing down — that’s our job.”

However, the interview took a chuckling turn when the country star addressed his motivation to please his fans, comparing his shows to that of sex. But, concerts are like sex, really, if you think about it. The whole time, you’re working to get an invitation back.” Although an unexpected reference, fans giggled as they fully understood the concept.

The singer went on to describe the stressful concert elements, comparing the cost of one beer to that of a band t-shirt. Regardless, Brooks was adamant about his desire to surpass his fans’ expectations and keep them coming back for more.

Brooks will be wrapping up his tour in September of this year, previously admitting he’s ready for a long nap and a break from the “on-the-go” lifestyle.  Pleasing his fans is clearly a tiring task!
