Garth Brooks‘ “Friends in Low Places” has proved one of the most successful country songs in its ability to transcend across just about every music genre, with just about everyone these days dying to cover the famed barroom anthem, even A-List actor Ashton Kutcher.

Kutcher joined country music star Thomas Rhett onstage at his concert in Iowa for an unexpected performance of “Friends in Low Places,” and Brooks had a few things to say about the act.

“I have been seeing it going everywhere today, some kind of wild thing with Ashton Kutcher,” Garth says during a Facebook Live interview. “I think they were in Iowa or something. Of course, Thomas decides to invite Kutcher on stage and, of course what song are they gonna do?”

He then breaks out his iPad and hits play on the the Kutcher-Rhett performance of his critically acclaimed smash hit. Brooks covers his face laughing hysterically at the performance of one of his most famous songs. The country music superstar says “that’s great” several times throughout the performance between laughs.

Towards the end of the performance, Kutcher cracks open a beer to which Garth reacts, “There you go, there you go,” cracking up. “When all else fails, drink.” Amen, Garth.

Once the performance is through Garth gives the actor his musical evaluation. “Ashton, I don’t know what to say, brother, the guys in baseball always told me don’t quit your day job, but I don’t want to say that.”
