Garth Brooks Surprises Trisha Yearwood With Adorable Photo They Took Together 30 Years Ago

One of the most anticipated Christmas albums of the year now has a name and a cover. The cover for the first ever duet album from Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood was revealed on Facebook Live Monday evening.

Trisha Yearwood joined her hubby to announce that the holiday album, titled Christmas Together, is set to be released November 11 and features an adorable photo of the husband-wife team on the front. Garth shared that the picture is one of only four taken during a spur-of-the-moment photo shoot.

“It was Garth’s photo shoot. I was doing a photo shoot across town and stopped by in full hair and makeup,” Trisha shared.

“And when she walked in, [the photographer] goes ‘Oh my gosh. You just lit up,'” Garth added. After asking the couple to stand together, “He took four snaps and one of them came back and it was pure magic.”

“I love that we’re just us. We’re just happy,” Trisha said of the album cover.

Just before the album cover reveal, Garth surprised Trisha with the very first picture they took together. The nearly 30-year old black & white photo shows the two shortly after they met in 1987. At the time, both were unsigned demo singers.

Trisha Yearwood later told CMT that they hit it off immediately, “But I had no idea he’d turn out to be Garth Brooks!”

Little did she know at the time that he would become her husband 20 years later.
