George Jones Bleeds Classic Country In Emotional Final Performance Of ‘He Stopped Loving Her’

He poured his soul into this heartbreaking last performance of his signature song and the audience was cheering the whole time. 

Truly one of the most recognized and remembered country artists to ever hit Nashville, George Jones surely left a legacy behind when he passed in 2013 – and part of that is his unforgettable masterpiece, “He Stopped Loving Her Today”. 

Originally released in 1980, Jones almost didn’t record the track because of how sad and heartbreaking it is. After working with producers, he chose to record it anyway and blew everyone away when it hit airwaves. 

Probably one of the most iconic songs in country music history, this performance holds a special place in our heart because it was his last time singing it. 

Although his health had declined over the years, during this unforgettable moment, you can tell that Jones is giving everything he’s got to the song and surely doing what he came there to do: create a beautiful memory for everyone.
