Although George Strait has retired from full-scale tours, he still finds the time to do a few shows in Vegas every now and then. After the success of his shows in 2016, "The King of Country" moved forward with scheduling more concerts for 2017.
When it came time to pick an opening act for his Vegas shows, Strait selected a fellow Texan to fill the spot. That lucky artist was Kacey Musgraves, who told the Las Vegas Sun in May 2016 how much the gig meant to her.
"George asking me to open for him was like getting a royal seal of approval," she said. "It's definitely a Texan seal of approval."
In addition to opening for Strait, Musgraves has been able to sing a duet with him on stage. The two collaborate on Strait's romantic chart-topping hit from 1998, "I Just Want to Dance With You."
Plenty of fans have filmed the two Texas stars' duet on the tune. But during one of their shows this weekend (February 17-18), it was Musgraves who ended up capturing the perfect clip of their duet.
Musgraves happened to have her phone out with her on stage, and used it to film an up close and personal shot of her duet with Strait. The clip is a short one, but those few seconds contain so much sweetness.
The way that Strait looks at the camera and smiles as he sings will absolutely melt your heart. It's clear that Musgraves is still a bit starstruck by him, and we can't blame her! We don't know if we'd ever get used to having Strait serenade us.
Watch the cute clip of Musgraves and Strait's duet below. It's sure to be the sweetest thing you'll see today.
