This rare performance is just one incredible example of how versatile Elvis Presley's unforgettable voice is, and how wonderfully talented Barbra Streisand is.
Together, these two music superstars were racing up the charts together during the prime of their careers and even once had the blessing of meeting each other in Las Vegas, where both were performing.
Recorded for Streisand's 34th studio album, Partners, this seemingly impossible duet was crafted after she and her producer secured the original vocal recordings of Presley in order to pair the two together.
Using Presley's original 1956 studio recording of "Love Me Tender", Streisand and her producer recorded an entirely brand new digital duet that incorporated the songstress laying down her own new vocal track for the project.
During an interview about the making of the project, her producer gushed over the ability to work with one of The King's rare and cherished original vocal tracks, saying, "...it was like the man was in my studio!"
