Home Free Performs “Alabama Sampler,” A Medley Of 6 Alabama Songs

YouTube/Home Free

Over the last few years, we have come to know and love the country a cappella group Home Free. We first met them from their time on the a cappella competition show The Sing Off , which they won, naturally.

The second you hear these guys harmonize, you will realize why it was a no-brainer that they were the champions of the fourth season of The Sing Off.

Home Free enjoys covering the most popular country songs of all time, whether it be current or from the past. What’s incredible about them is that they have so many songs in their repertoire that any country fan will enjoy something they sing!

In this particular video, they tackle six hit songs that legendary country band Alabama has released and mash them up into the ultimate medley that they like to call the “Alabama Sampler.”

They kicked it off with the upbeat song from 1982, “Mountain Music,” then slowed it down with the band’s 1991 hit “Born Country”. Bass singer Tim Foust sped them back up with “I’m In A Hurry,” which they made famous in 1992.

Tenor Rob Lundquist took it back to the 80s and showed off his spectacular pipes in “If You’re Gonna Play In Texas”. Their silky-smooth 4-part harmony shined bright in “Dixieland Delight” and Austin Brown took the lead for an inspiring version of “Angels Among Us.”

Adam Rupp’s beatboxing skills were a high point for us in this video, as he mimicked all different kinds of drum sounds. Watching them beautifully harmonize to some of country music’s greatest songs gives us chills all over!

Which song from the “Alabama Sampler” was your favorite? Sound off in the comments below and watch the full mashup of Alabama songs in the video below.
