Home Free Puts A Cappella Spin On Dolly Parton’s ‘9 To 5’ In 2015 Video

Home Free/YouTube

Country a cappella group Home Free has gone classic!

Dolly Parton’s two-time Grammy Award-winning song “9 to 5” was featured in her 1980 film of the same name, but Home Free put a modern and hysterical spin to it for their 2015 album Country Evolution. They accompanied the release of the album by releasing a few music videos, one of which was for their version of “9 to 5.”

In the comical music video, the five guys who comprise Home Free play employees at an office who look like their lives could use a little excitement. While consuming too much coffee, answering five calls at once, falling asleep at their desk, each member of Home Free decides they have had enough!

During the bridge, they included an original arrangement of some soul-filled riffs and changed out of their matching shirts and ties into their normal clothes. They performed a choreographed dance in their office chairs, but had some extra swag in their step!

In the last minute or so of the video, they attempt to destroy all their work papers before leaving the office early.

Watch them put their own spin to the classic Dolly Parton song below.
