Just a few days after Rory Feek’s first Father’s Day without his beloved wife Joey in 2016, he shared a sweet photo of their daughter, Indiana, spending the day with her mama in a very special way.

Joey Feek passed away in March 2016 and left behind a beautiful legacy. Rory is making sure that their young daughter will never forget her wonderful mother.
While Indiana was sitting in her high chair, Rory put a big set of headphones on her and played a special song. It was Joey singing “Jesus Loves Me”, which put a huge smile on Indiana’s face.
“…this is what you get when you put headphones on a baby and she hears her mama singing Jesus Loves Me,” he wrote as the caption.

Because Joey passed away when Indiana was just two years old, she will grow up without her mom, but with the power of music and Rory’s undying love for her, Joey will always be with Indy.
Just a few weeks before Indiana was born, Rory began filming for what would be a full-length documentary about their lives titled To Joey, With Love. It was shown in theaters for one night only in celebration of what would be her 41st birthday.
Joey lives on in Indiana and in her incredible music. Indy is lucky she has so much of her mother’s singing to listen to for the rest of her life. She will never forget her mom.
