Country music star Jason Aldean has been known for his riveting anthems and comical tunes, such as “My Kinda Party” and “Big Green Tractor”. However, fans saw quite a different side of the crooner in his most recent music video debut, experiencing a much more somber and emotional performance.

Giving life to his song “Any Ol’ Barstool”, Aldean kicked off the video by solemnly playing his guitar in an empty bar, sporting his classic cowboy hat and dark button down. The video quickly portrays a recently split couple clearly experiencing withdrawals from one another as they attempt to endure their day. As the former girlfriend struggles to leave her bed and passes on a night out with her friends, the once boyfriend pushes through his bartending job amidst flirting with nearby women and wrestling his mind and undergoing a constant inner battle to not think about his equally pained ex.

Aldean displayed an exceptional array of emotions, as his performance struck the hearts of viewers who were all too familiar with the song’s storyline and the singer’s portrayed heartache. As we’re left hopeful seeing the former girlfriend rush to the bar to meet with the man she loves, it seems that she finds him in the bar with another woman. She storms out, leaving the heartbroken bartender frustrated at the massive misconception.

Needless to say, this video is an absolute whirlwind of emotions. Watch the video for yourself and tell us what you thought!
