On February 10, Josh Turner made an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry, and there were some special people there to watch him in the sold-out crowd. Josh’s whole family showed up to support him during his Opry performance, including his wife, Jennifer.
Jennifer brought along a special guest of her own to the Opry, her 98-year-old grandma, Lois. In a surprising announcement, Josh revealed that his grandmother-in-law was going to make her Opry debut, and would join him on stage to play a song on the piano.
As Lois got herself situated in front of the piano, Josh introduced her, saying “she’s going to play when she’s ready.” Not long after that, Lois brought her hands down to hit the first few notes of the beloved hymn, “How Great Thou Art,” and from that moment on she had the entire Opry completely captivated.
Lois’ hands glided over the keys with an effortless ease, as her passion for the song came through in each note. Josh stood by her side, watching her with a look of absolute awe.
By the end of the performance, it was clear that the crowd was just as awestruck, as they soared to their feet to give Lois a standing ovation. The smile on Lois’ face as she looked out at the cheering crowd proves that she enjoyed her Opry debut.
Before walking off stage, Lois gave a warm hug to Josh and blew kisses out to the crowd. What a perfect end to an unbelievable performance!
